Dr Ae-Ri ji

Senior Scientist

Ae-Ri works in Liver sinusoid model development team. She is a medical scientist with a PhD in human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) biology and has more than 16 years’ experience and eight years as a postdoctoral researcher in three countries: South Korea, Spain, and UK. Her expertise is to differentiate hiPSCs into specific cell types of the body, in particular neuronal cell types. At Newcells, she is applying her expertise to develop an in vitro 3D iPSC-derived liver sinusoid model for drug discovery and drug toxicity test. Ae-Ri loves to spend her spare time traveling, cooking, watching sci-fi movies, and eating out to fulfil all her curiosities.
