Fiona Leslie

Scientist

Fiona studied Biomedical sciences at Newcastle University where she developed a keen interest in Immunology. This led her to undertake a MRes in Immunobiology and then move the University of Leeds to complete a PhD. Her project focussed on investigating the cellular signalling mechanisms of Glucocorticoids, in the context of inflammation and cancer. Fiona returned to the North East in Autumn 2021, to join the Lung Platform team at Newcells Biotech. In her spare time, Fiona enjoys exploring Northumberland with her dog.
