Associate Scientist

A Cheshire native, and more importantly a member of the retinal team. Primary roles include developmental and production work for both our RPE and organoids platforms. Before joining Newcells, studied a BSc in Biology at Newcastle University, prior to taking a year out for multiple industry placements. Completed a dissertation investigating stem cells and their potential in treating Parkinson’s Disease, leading into an MSc from Nottingham University in Stem Cell Technology and Regenerative Medicine. Completed a research project on the effect of glutamine on adipogenesis, from the perspective of an anti-obesity approach. Outside of the lab, a fan of the Lake District, football and really sport of any kind.
